CHLORINATED RUBBER PAINT

Designed for use on surfaces which require good chemical and water resistance, CHLORVAR is ideal in a wide range of applications.  For example storage tanks, marine applications, swimming pools, dairies, laundries etc.  It can be used on many surfaces including wood, metal, plaster, brick, masonry and GRP.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Preparation & Application.

Plaster, Brick and Masonry:

Surfaces should be clean, stable, dry and free from wax, oil and grease. Swimming pools should be drained and left to dry for at least two weeks with good ventilation.  The moisture content should be no more than 15% - if in doubt, check!  New concrete surfaces should be allowed to fully cure and then be treated with Acid Etch prior to painting to remove all trace of salts.  Any cracks or holes in surfaces should be suitably repaired.  It is advisable to thin the first coat of CHLORVAR and then apply to the prepared and clean surface by brush or roller.  Work well into the substrate.     Allow to dry, then overcoat with one or two unthinned coats as required by brush, roller or airless spray.  (Do not overcoat if the previous coating has not “through dried” – check carefully first).

Metal:

CHLORVAR can be applied directly onto clean, degreased and rust free metal.  For best  results and certainly marine and underwater applications, METACLOR Primer should be used to prime the surface first.

Wood:

CHLOVAR can be applied to clean and sound timber. For best results first prime with METACLOR Primer.

GRP:

Lightly abrade the surface and apply CHLORVAR coat on coat.

DRYING TIME:

Surface Dry      2 hours

Through Dry     24 Hours

(at 20˚C with good ventilation)

Full hardness 5 to 7 days

BRUSHWASH/THINNERS:

V/607/15

COVERAGE GUIDE:

10 square metres per litre per coat (to a dried film thickness of 20-25 microns at 20˚C) depending on the porosity of the surface.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

See SDS 10730 or 10731.  Read before using.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Ensure the paint used on swimming pools and ponds is fully cured before refilling.  This can take over a week but certainly over 72 hours after the paint has “through dried”.  CHLORVAR contains a complex blend of resins and solvents.  Do not overcoat any other paint system without first fully checking for compatibility.  If in any doubt about any application or drying time please contact

“SUREGRIP” ANTI-SLIP DECK PAINT

The dangers of wet, slippery decks, pontoons, quaysides and ramps are well known to fishermen, yachtsmen and all seafarers.  It was with this problem in mind that Teamac developed “SUREGRIP”, an anti-slip coating which is suitable for use on a wide range of surfaces: wood, glass fibre, metal and even concrete.

Teamac “SUREGRIP” is a ready prepared coating containing special coarse aggregates.  Once applied, “SUREGRIP” dries rapidly to provide a rough bonded surface which is both durable, protective and decorative as well as helping to prevent slips, trips and falls.

Special features of the product include:

Available in 8 colours

Suitable for a wide range of surfaces

Anti-slip finish

Provides surface protection

Surface dry in 6 hours

Directions for use

Preparation:

Stir thoroughly before and during application.  Surface should be clean, dry and free from salt deposits.  Surfaces should be suitably primed as necessary.

Wood Surfaces: (New and Unprimed)

Apply a suitable exterior wood primer.

(Previously Painted Timber)

Sand down to remove any loose or flaking material, dust off and spot prime any bare areas.

Metal Surfaces: (Bare Metal Surfaces)

Apply a suitable metal primer.

(Previously Painted Metal)

Rub down or wire brush to remove loose or flaking material, dust off and spot prime any bare areas.

G.P.R and Glass Fibre

Abrade the surface to afford a good “key” and apply “Suregrip” direct.

Concrete and Brick

Apply a suitable alkali resisting primer prior to application of “Suregrip”. Surfaces should be suitably primed as necessary.

Application:

Apply a full even coat by roller or brush ensuring even distribution of the aggregate.  A single coat may be adequate but a second coat after 16 hours will enhance the performance.  Brush out well.  Do not overcoat if the first coat is not thoroughly dry, this will seriously effect the “hard dry” time.

Drying Time:

Surface dry 6 hours depending on conditions. Through dry 24 hours depending on conditions.  Full hardness will be achieved over 7 – 10 days.

Coverage Guide:

1 lire covers approximately 6 to 10 square metres dependent on the surface.  Do not over apply.
